About Us
The Live Oak School began with a simple vision: to create a learning experience that feels calm, personal, and academically strong—where children are known, supported, and genuinely excited to learn.
We’re currently building The Live Oak School as a teacher-led online learning community for students in 1st grade through 5th grade, with two ways families can receive support:
a weekly program (small-group learning with consistent routines), or
personalized tutoring (targeted, one-on-one support based on your child’s needs).

The Live Oak School is intentionally small by design so students are never anonymous on a screen—they are seen, encouraged, and challenged in a warm, consistent learning environment.
We believe children thrive when learning is both structured and nurturing. Our approach blends strong academic foundations with curiosity, creativity, and meaningful work. Lessons are designed to be clear and engaging, with guided practice and routines that build responsibility—so growth is steady, not overwhelming.
Online Academy (Grades 1–5) — Coming Soon
The Live Oak School Online Academy is currently in development. When launched, it will provide a consistent rhythm with high-quality instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, along with clear routines and family communication. Because we keep groups small, we can differentiate instruction while maintaining a close, supportive community. Families can expect simple weekly learning plans and progress updates that show real evidence of growth over time.
Acorns (Grades 1–2) — Coming Soon
Acorns is our specialized foundational program for young learners who benefit from gentle structure and intentional support. It focuses on the building blocks that matter most early on: phonics-based literacy, handwriting and early writing, number sense, and confidence-building routines. Families may choose the weekly Acorns program for steady momentum or personalized tutoring for targeted skill-building.
The Live Oak School is built on values that matter: kindness, curiosity, responsibility, and pride in doing one’s best work. We believe learning should feel challenging but not discouraging, purposeful rather than busy, and joyful without being chaotic. We also believe school works best when families and teachers partner together—so we communicate clearly, set consistent expectations, and support children step by step.
